Creating Merch Labels

When creating merchandise labels it’s best to guide your audience with focal points. Notice how each price label has the most important information large and bold. Additional information that the potential customer may be interested in is in smaller text. Out of the two which stands out to you more? More than likely you answered the hyaluronic acid mix. While both are good examples, creating dynamic and eye catching visuals is important maintaining your audience’s attention.

Easy on the Eyes

While dynamic and bright labels can be great for attention grabbing it isn’t always the best option. Assessing the preferences of your audience is important. Consider who your audience is, your brand, your theme, and the mood you want to portray. If you have a lot of merchandise on one shelf sometimes having a lot of dynamic and bright labels can be overwhelming. It’s nice on the eyes to break it up with softer labels as well.

Bright and Dynamic

Out of the two this label objectively stands out more. There are pros and cons of labels like this. If you have multiple original products a bright and dynamic label will stand out more. Would that be better or worse? Do your other labels need to be improved to compete for attention? These are all things to consider when setting the tone of intensity on your merchandise shelves.
